How to add or change theme in power point
Changing a Theme
Launch PowerPoint and open your presentation.Select the theme that best fits your needs from the list on the Design tab, in the Themes group. A preview will appear if you hover over any of them. When you're ready to proceed, simply click the theme. It will be used throughout the presentation.
Applying a New Theme to Only Some of the Slides
- Launch PowerPoint and open your presentation.
- Select the Design tab.
- Choose the slide whose theme you want to modify. If you want to select multiple slides, simply hold Ctrl/Cmd while clicking them.
- Select the theme you want to use, right-click, and then choose Apply to Selected Slides. Please keep in mind that if you change the overall theme of the presentation later, these slides will be affected as well.

Importing a Theme
Launch PowerPoint and open your presentation.Click the drop-down arrow in the Themes group on the Design tab. Now, click the Browse for Themes button. A new window will appear, in which you must select the presentation containing the theme you want to import.
Editing the Colors of the Theme
Depending on the theme, there may be color variations or different palette presets from which to change the color of the elements in your presentation. Let's look at how we can change the colors of a theme:- Launch PowerPoint and open your presentation.
- Select the Design tab. If the theme has color variations, they will be displayed in the Variants group.
- To change the color palette, click the Variants drop-down arrow, then Colors, then any of the presets. Click Customize Colors to apply a specific palette to the presentation. A new window will open, allowing you to choose the colors that best suit your needs. A small preview can be seen in the top-right corner of this window.
- To change the background color, click the Variants drop-down arrow and then Background Styles. You can use any of the presets or click Format Background to use solid colors, gradients, images, or patterns as your background. If you choose Format Background, a panel on the right side of the screen will appear. Click Apply to All to apply a custom background.
- All background images will be removed if you change the background using the Format Background options.
- In the Variants group, you'll find two more options for changing the font of the presentation or the effects applied to the resources. Both of these options include presets, and if you're using the most recent version of PowerPoint, you'll also see an option to customize the fonts or styles.
