When you copy something, the original remains in place, and a copy is added to a temporary storage area known as the Clipboard. It can then be copied and pasted in another location, either in the current presentation or in a different file entirely.
• Choose the text, slide, or object to copy.
•Select the Home tab and click the Cut option.
 Shortcut Ctrl + C will be pressed
• Drag the copied text, slide, or object to the desired location.
Select Paste.
• Shortcut Ctrl + V will be pressed.
A duplicate of the text, slide, or object is created.

Cut and Paste

Cutting and pasting removes the original item from one location and replaces it in another.
• Choose the text, slide, or object to be moved.
•On the Home tab, click the Cut button.
 Shortcut Ctrl + X will be pressed
• The text, slide, or object is copied to the Clipboard from its original location.
• Choose the slide to which you want to paste.
  The location where you wish to paste the text should be chosen.
• Select Paste.
• Hold down Ctrl + V.
· The text, slide, or object is moved to its new location.
